Lessons from Don

Back in the old days of advertising, wise folk would say:

  • compare what the product HAS versus what the competition HASN’T.

The internet shines a light.

These days, online reviews can expose a product’s weakness in a click.

There’s a limit to where digital can get you.

We’ve seen how ad campaigns can’t conceal a poor product forever.

  • everything is faster, easier and more profitabl
  • more markets, more channels (some are free)
  • most folks visit a website once and never return
  • bang for buck, email out-performs social media
  • that it either works or it doesn’t
  • if it’s right for one, it’s right for all
  • most folks visit a website once and never return — could you optimise the website, collect some data and find out why?
  • bang for buck, email out-performs social media — why not test the channels to see what works, where and when?

That’s all for this week.

George. 🙏🏼
